As my daughter and I was reading this book, she picked out her most favorite section “ Mardi Gras“ . She also loved the fact that it was very easy to read. She was so in love with the pictures as well. This is our fourth time reading it. She said she wants to share it and read it at school with her teacher and classmates. We love this book.

This read was the most inspiring life journey of a beautiful black little girl! She took you on a ride inside her beautiful world and showed us what she was grateful for and how thankful she was to have it! She showed overcoming fears, what made her feel whole and joyful, she showed how much family means! My kids absolutely enjoyed this wonderful book!
